The Cleansing Base
Soap Noodles
The cleansing base that forms the body of the Acne Expert Soap bar and carries its active ingredients.
Overview
Soap noodles are the dried, saponified soap base from which bar soaps are made: fatty acid salts produced by saponification, dried into small noodle-like granules. To make a finished bar, the noodles are blended with active ingredients and extracts, then milled, pressed and cut. In the Acne Expert Soap, soap noodles are the first ingredient listed on the pack: they form the body of the bar, provide the cleansing action, and carry Salicylic Acid, Neem, Aloe Vera, Tea Tree Oil, Centella Asiatica and Charcoal.
Benefits
- Provides the bar's core cleansing action, lifting away dirt and excess oil as you wash
- Gives the bar its structure, hardness and lather
- Carries the bar's active ingredients
- The pack states T.F.M. 76% (Grade 1), indicating a high total fatty matter content
Usage
The base works during cleansing - wet the bar, work it into a light lather between your palms, massage onto damp skin, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
